haveing a problem with publishing

i was able to publish befor without a problem now all of a sudden my password is not allowed i tried to update the password an it still wont work..i use a program with a built in ftp..

What software are you using to publish? Your CPanel password is independent of anything installed on your website. There may be a way to recover your login though.
