Require answer concerning Messenger program

Hi. (aio1155.x10.mx)

I'll make this very quick. I was given a list of which chat programs which can be used, and which cannot.

I have just come across some cool things from Core design which includes something called CD Pure Messenger.

I need to know as quickly as possible if this one is allowed or not? Like I said it isn't in the list of programs which are not allowed.

I can't find any conclusive evidence that it would be allowed. It looks like it uses MySQL tables to store the messages, which is what we don't want to have. It never once asks you to sign up for an outside service. I would find it unusual that it would be allowed with the information I have. I'll try and dig a little longer, but the documentation is very poor.

If you want to install this plugin, don't enable it, and see if it asks you to create a login for a 3rd party site, I would think that is acceptable. You can also check your MySQL tables through PHPMyAdmin before and after to see if it creates a new table, which is not what we want

Okay disabling it now. It doesn't ask for an outside registration, so I'll disable it, actually I'll uninstall it.

quick note, chat scripts are no longer disallowed by ToS, so as long as it stays within limits resource wise it'll be fine.
