Trying to change domain.

I'm trying to change my domain from .pcriot to .co.cc. On my cPanel it says my domain is co.cc but when I navigate to my site it says that this domain is available and when I go to my original domain I get a 404 when I click a link. Yes, I did give it some time. My question is generally how long does it take to change, an is there a problem with me changing the domain?

Assuming that you had already registered your co.cc domain at www.cc.cc before doing this and have had set correct the dns nameservers there in the www.co.cc account,it would take usually 48 hours to be globally effective.
