Cannot create SQL database

Hi.
when i try to create a SQL database via cPanel X, I get a message that the db was succesfully created, but it doesn't show up at the list of the databases.

Hello,

Have you tried using the MySQL wizard? You may be accidentally creating MySQL users instead. Also, have you exceeded the database quota?

Yup, I did try that but it didn't work...however, if i try to add a database with the same name, i get a message that this name already exists!

Maybe it's because they are doing some server maintenance (now i can't even access cpanel)

That is a likely cause. For now, you'll have to sit tight I'm afraid.
