Greetings,
I've tried searching the forums, but have not found a rejection or affirmation on the following...
In a nutshell, I'd like to have subdomains mapped from a co.cc account to my X10 account. Here are some details.
My X10 account is cs341.x10.mx.
I have a co.cc domain called "readme.co.cc".
I'd like to have:
1. readme.co.oo load my cs341.x10.mx/index.html
2. sd1.readme.co.cc load sd1.cs341.x10.mx/index.html
3. sd2.readme.co.cc load sd2.cs341.x10.mx/index.html
Is this possible with the controls within cPanel ?
Here's what I've tried:
I created a subdomain sd1.cs341.x10.mx. This would load properly when
www.sd1.cs341.x10.mx was entered into a browser address field.
At co.cc, I've tried the following controls:
1. "URL forwarding": this worked fine for cs341.x10.mx,
but not for the subdomains.
2. "zone records": adding CNAME records pointing sd1.readme.co.cc to
sd1.cs341.x10.mx. (pings to sd1.readme.co.cc gave the ip of
cs341.x10.mx, but the page wouldn't load. Instead, I got the
cPanel LBSD (Light Blue Screen of Default).
3. "name server": putting ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com into
the nameserver fields of the domain management page, along with a an
addon domain at X10 with the id of "www.sd1.readme.co.cc.cs341.x10.mx".
No dice.
I'd be most grateful for any advice y'all could send.
Thanks very much,
Chris
