    Trouble with webhost.

    Hi.

    My site are going up and down A LOT, I contacted the live chat, and I got told that it was temporary because my server (bora) was being updated or something like that. It has been 1 week now and I get this error : "Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later."

    So what does that exactly mean? The forum comes up again after a while, but it's very annoying. Is there anything you guys can do or can I upgrade to a premium webhosting to prevent this without losing any files on my current server?

    There are some issues.

    Yes, you can upgrade to x10 premium service without losing any of your data.

    I've now paid for the paid host. I used the same adress as I used on my free, will this be automatically fixed then or do I need to do anything on my own?

    Now that you have paid, you should address your issues at http://clients.x10hosting.com (for paid clients only).

    This thread will be escalated or handled directly by administrators.

    Just to expand on MaestroFX1's comments a little, open a ticket in the client area which you now have access to with premium hosting and request that your free hosting account be moved to your new premium hosting account. Staff will then take care of that for you.
