    Safe_Mode Disabled and Open_Basedir Disabled

    Hello, i was hoping to see if you guys can disable safe_mode if it's not already including open_basedir because am trying to run a script and i keep getting an error saying

    "ErrorException [ Warning ]: curl_setopt() [<a href='function.curl-setopt'>function.curl-setopt</a>]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when in safe_mode or an open_basedir is set"

    Re: Safe_Mode Disabled and Open_Basedir Disabled

    We cannot. Open_basedir is enabled for security reasons and I am unsure about safe_mode if it is enabled, if so then it is also for security.
    Just leading the flock.

    Re: Safe_Mode Disabled and Open_Basedir Disabled

    safe_mode is NOT enabled, but open_basedir is. We cannot lift this restriction, as php configuration affects all users on the server, and open_basedir is an important security setting that prevents people messing with the accounts of other people
