    Question Unable to change main domain

    I moved to another free host with less features while chopin was seeing speed issues, and now want to move my hosting back again.

    My main domain is set to woottonbassettscouts.x10.mx, but I want to change it to woottonbassettscouts.org.uk. However, when I try to change it I get the error "The domain you have supplied is already in use". I was using the domain woottonbassettscouts.org.uk before moving away but set the domain to woottonbassettscouts.x10.mx so I could keep an eye on it.

    Also my cPanel shows no subdomains however, x10hosting.com/control shows a subdomain of beta.woottonbassettscouts.org.uk.

    Can you resolve it so that I can use woottonbassettscouts.org.uk as my main domain, if it's easier for you feel free to just reset my account to it's defaults.

    My hosting username is wbscouts.

    Re: Unable to change main domain

    Hello there!

    First, change the dns nameservers to:
    ns1.x10hosting.com
    ns2.x10hosting.com

    The beta sub-domain can be removed easily once your dotuk domain is set correctly here.

    Re: Unable to change main domain

    I've now updated my name servers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com, however when I try and change my main domain I still get the error "The domain you have supplied is already in use".

    Also trying to add my domain as a parked domain gives me the below error, but still adds it to the list:
    Error from hooks wrapper: Domain action was not successfully synchronized with Jackmunch. Array ( [0] =>
    Array
    [1] => (
    [2] => [0] => /jackmunch/bin/node-domain-action.php
    [3] => [1] => wbscouts
    [4] => [2] => park
    [5] => [3] => woottonbassettscouts.org.uk
    [6] => )
    [7] =>
    Error: Jackmunch response contained an error: Permission denied for user root@[hostname] for command HOSTING-DOMAINACTION )

    Re: Unable to change main domain

    I guess nobody knows then, I've been able to bodge my account to use woottonbassettscouts.org.uk as a parked domain, but I would still prefer to set it as my main domain.
