changed domain name, can't access site

    Hi there,

I changed the domain name of my site from gsgillart.x10.mx to gsgillart.ca, and i can't seem to access my website. The operation seemed to have been completed successfully, but when I try to go to the new address, it gives me an 'address not found' error. Do I need to move my files or something?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello!

Looks like you haven't registered gsgillart.ca yet or is in process.
Once you are done with registration, use the following x10 DNS nameservers:
    ns1.x10hosting.com
    ns2.x10hosting.com

Re: changed domain name, can't access site

    Maestro,

thnx for replying! I don't know how to register the name. Can't find any options in my x10hosting account that would allow me to do that. Do I have to register the name on my own? like, outside of the x10hosting 'sphere' of tools?

    thanks again

    edit:
i did some googling - so i do have to register my domain name myself. thnx

Sadly yeah, as the .ca series of domain names isn't a free series as far as I can tell.

x10hosting might be able to register the domain, but it's not one of the normal free ones. If you need a free one, look up either www.co.cc, or you could run a Main Domain change from the account panel to something like x10.mx or one of the other free alternatives in there.
