wheres abouts do i upload php files for the site?

im new to this directory setup

The "document root" (ie where the file for yourdomain.com/foo.php would be located ) of your main domain is /home/YourCPaneUserName/public_html ( /home/YourCPaneUserName/www is an alias for this directory. It is not a separate directory ).

Please ensure you upload all files into the public_html directory.

Can you change it so that when you get to the main directory it says Hi can you remove that in anyway
