Newb question about backing up

Apologies if this is a) already on here, but the search function isn't working, and b) it's a stupid question! LOL

As a free user, is my site data automatically backed up every day? Or do I have to set that up?

While x10hosting maintains backups of your site, they are only ever restored in the case that we are the ones that mess up your site (e.g. server crash or whatnot). Ultimately, backups are your responsibility, as is stated in the Terms of Service you agreed to when signing up.

We do not run any form of automated backup system that you can use, so you will need to back your site up manually by following the instructions Carl posted above
