    shell_exec() has been disabled

    sir,
    it is my request please enable shell_exec() in my account...
    an error also comes that says safe mode is on... i want to turn that off too

    Shell is disabled on free hosting. Please see: http://x10hosting.com/free-hosting-comparison
    Also, php settings are server-wide. They cannot be altered just for one user. If you need that flexibility, you'd need to look into a VPS. http://x10vps.com/

    safe_mode is off on free hosting accounts, but open_basedir is on. If you want shell_exec() or similar functions, you will need to purchase Premium or VPS hosting.
