Smf - database ?

ive uploaded smf to my file manager and it doesnt seem to reconise my database but i have made one and typed in the correct name and table prefix but it continues to say \"please go to the administration panel and create one ?\"
please help as i need to get this site up asap !

Hello,

Have you also created a database user and added it to the database with all privileges? Also, what are you using for the database host?
