500 Internal Sever Error

I have been noticing 500 Internal server error for the past 2 hours. I donot remember doing anything with the internals of my server space. Kindly look over and help me get my site running again.

Couldn't even open homepage.

My .htaccess file is empty. Is it correct or should it contain anything ?

Yes..something wrong with the server.Just known to us..
Staff is knowing that there is a problem and they will address that ASAP.Plz be patient.
