    Permissions help

Hi, I have just uploaded my website and files to the ftp for my account. I can view the webpages when i log in to my ftp site. But when i type in my domain name. (samplusvan.x10.mx) i get the 403 forbidden message. I can change all my files and directories to 644 and 755 but when i go to change public_html or www etc in cpanel i get an error message saying "FileOp failure on: home/samplus/public_html operation not permitted". I tried changing in ftp but havent noticed any change.
    Please help
    thanks
    Sam

Have you tried the Legacy File Manager? It sometimes works better than the main one in cPanel.
    Nothing is always absolutely so.

Try it on public_html. www is actually just a symbolic link (to public_html)
    Nothing is always absolutely so.
