Installing Front page extensions

I am receiving an error message as follows:

Error: The server extensions were unable to access the file "srm.conf". Please check the file permissions.

Setting Password
Frontpage passthrough auth enabled in /home/footdad1/public_html!
Frontpage was installed on the following domains: footdownbmx.x10.bz

Frontpage extensions are currently not installed.

My Question: Please tell me how to set up Front Page extensions or permissions so that my submit forms will work properly? I am using Frontpage 2000 and everything works on my site except for the submit forms.
