.htaccess disapeared

How do I make cpanel show me the .htaccess file? I need to add a few lines to it.

cPanel
bottom of the screen
click on reset all interface settings
click on File Manager
popup should appear
check box saying something like "Enable hidden (dot) files" , and if you want "Don't show this again"
.htaccess should be visible
