Corey says "...make sure you have setup your SPF record..." - but how to do it ?

How to setup SPF record under Email Authentication section of x10hosting cPanel ?
As for why - see this post by Corey -- 07-11-2011 11:59 PM
    Email in general

looks like what is needed ????
cPanel ==> Email Authentication ==> SPF ==> Status ==> Enable
if all you use is the primary mail server

    from cPanel ????
You do not need to specify your primary mail exchanger or any server that an mx has been created for as they are already included automatically.
    from Corey's post (above)
Recap: Webmail should work, free hosting email is awesome.
My Webmail on x10hosting server Boru NO LONGER works
puts outgoing mail from any one of the six Email accounts in it's sent box
but I never receive it at my Email accout on x10server Skyy/s4 or Gmail account

PHP mail function NO LONGER works - returns TRUE
but I never receive it at my Email accout on x10server Skyy/s4 or Gmail account

    Hello,

I replied in your other thread that you linked to regarding a possible cause for your SMTP issue. Also, please don't feel that we are ignoring you, that isn't the case, it's just that none of us have any access to even check on whether or not the mail systems are up/down/functioning/clogged/etc. so the best answer we'd be able to give is "I'll message Corey and hope he responds sometime within the next 24 hours." You're probably better off idling in IRC (I've seen you there a few times) and waiting for Corey to be online and asking him there when these issues arise.

    Thanks for your good reply

what I am looking for here is

    for x10 free-hosting server Boru

what SHOULD the SPF record be in cPanel - if all you use is the primary mail server ?

I'd think that whatever the default value in cPanel is for the SPF record would be fine if you are only planning on using the primary mail server. If for some reason this isn't working, I'll ask Corey to take a look to see if mail is having issues again, as it seems to like doing recently.

The SPF record should be automatically created for you from cPanel's interface. If you are sending mail on any free hosting server it will always go out the IP "184.154.20.251" regardless of the server you are on. This of course does not apply if you are using an external SMTP server.
