WordPress Backup Import

Is it possible to have the Exec function for wordpress enabled so that my back-up plugin will be able to restore my site from a backup that i took from my previous host?? I get this message when trying to activate the plug-in which comes directly from Wordpress.org approved plug-ins and NOT an external site that i have downloaded from just anywhere.

This is a standard core function of PHP 5.0 and should not be any issue about enabling it.

Hello,

Currently we do not allow exec() for our free-hosting users due to the possibility of abuse. This security measure is in place to protect our servers and all our other free-hosting users as well as yourself. Unfortunately it will not be enabled.
