When you create a subdomain, or add an addon domain, you can chose which folder they should point to, by defualt cPanel suggests /public_html/domainname.com, but you could just as easily change that to /public_html/mywordpressfolder

I assume cPanel ==> Addon Domains ==> Document Root ==> Manage Redirection -::- is the place to set which folder addon domain points to ??

In the section about addon domains, there's an image of the form for adding the domain.
What you want to do is make sure "Document root" points to the folder you placed wordpress. By default cPanel suggests the folder name to be the same as the domain, see the example in the image, but you can specify the path to be any folder (if it doesn't already exist it will be created).
It is set when creating the addon domain, redirection that you can set on an existing addon domain is something else.

Sorry Anna I did not say that very good....
I need to reset or change which folder a existing addon domain points to
so if I make a folder for WordPress as ==> public_html/wp -- wp folder inside of folder public_html
I would reset which folder a existing addon domain points to ==> public_html/wp/ ??
The only way to change which folder an existing addon domain points at would be removing it and re-adding it pointing it to the proper place.
That said, it is probably easier to upload the wordpress files into the folder it is currently pointing to.
