    Account Restore

    Hi,

I have just deleted some of my core X10hosting directories by mistake. I was meant to only delete the contents of my public_html folder, however i didnt realise i was in the top directory and have deleted other folders.

As a result im having issues using the cpanel.

Would it be possible to restore the directory to its default state before i uploaded anything?

    website is www.simplystylo.co.uk

EDIT: Apologies i didnt realise my support ticket was posted here. Please ignore this email and use the other thread posted.

    Hi,
Sad thing that you lost files. But any way in the cPanel, go to legacy file manager(just besides file manager0
There in the right you can find a recycle bin kind of icon from where you can restore stuff.
Try it once if it could work for you.

    Re: Account Restore

    Hi,

Well i didnt mind losing my website as i was only in the process of installing it so didnt lose much. I was more concerned about losing my original host files that were provided by X10.

Anyway i found the recycle bin but it is empty. However i have noticed that i have a number of folders appeared in my file manager and so im wondering if somebody has managed to restore them from the recycle bin??

EDIT: It seems that my email is not working now. I think this may be as a result of my accidental deletion. I noticed after i deleted the files that my email account in cpanel had gone. I created another and it told me a directory didnt exist (something like etc/simplystylo.co.uk/passwd passwd). I made the folders myself and then tried again and this time recieved an error (something like, jhan or jsan error). I then noticed a bit later on that my email account was there. But it is not working, i have tried to send an email from hotmail and from my website but nothing is being delievered and i get an error from my website saying it 'cant instantiate mail'.

    Thanks

    Tom
