How many accounts are we allowed?

I'm sorry if this has been answered somewhere, I just haven't come across it.

I was wondering if there was a limit on how many accounts we were allowed to make because I wanted to make a few for a few reasons (all serious accounts actually being used), and I didn't want them to get cancelled after I had them all set up if I wasn't allowed to have multiple.

You are allowed one Free Hosting Account.

That account can host 3 separate sites (main domain and two add-on domains).
The two MySQL databases can each be used for multiple scripts (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc) by using table prefixes.

Oh, alright. Thank you. But, how do free subdomains work as addon domains? Do we just input the subdomain we want and it registers it for us, or do we have to separately register the subdomain before-hand?

You can use any of the x10 subdomains as an add-on, just as you use them for main domains. (note: co.cc are not controlled by x10 and have to be registered separately).
