What's with the new cPanel login?

What do you mean what's with it? Are you not able to login to your cPanel after the recent software update?

No, I'm able to log in. I'm just curious why there was a "captcha" program put on the page. Especially one that forces you to watch a video (ad) or listen to a sound clip to get the letters you need to put into it.

Was x10 having a problem with bots or something?

Does this happen when you login to your account panel first, click on your hosting account details, and then click the button that says "Login to cPanel"? Otherwise, what you've described to me for the main cPanel login page sounds like it was made more secure. The cPanel software was recently upgraded on all free hosting servers.

I go straight to: chopin.x10hosting.com:2083 to login to my cPanel.
This new page with the captcha program definitely makes it more secure.
Million dollar question: is why?
