FTP and HTTP no worky

Hi all. I'm having several problems at the moment. Firstly, I am unable to use FTP. I use FileZilla; After supplying user name and password Filezilla replies with
Response: 421 Home directory not available - aborting
Error: Could not connect to server

Second: When I attempt to connect to my web site in a browser at http://adephagia.x10.mx/
I receive the following message
500 Error
An internal server error has occurred. Please try your request again momentarily.
• File or directory permissions are set too high: Files should be 0644, directories 0755.
• Problem with your .htaccess file.
• A syntax error in a CGI script.
I've verified that the .htaccess files are there, file size is 0 (meaning that there is nothing in it) and perms are 644.
Help would be appreciated.

I suspect this could be a boru upgrade problem ..but not very sure.Can you login to cPanel? If you can login to cPanel and find that there is no Public_html when you enter to cPanel,then you can follow what administrator told in the following post.

You had the permissions wrong on your public_html, it is fixed.
