problem with phpmyadmin

its impossible to create a database in phpmyadmin. in the demo on phpmyadmin's server, you goto "database" and theres a textbox and a button that lets you make a database, but on the phpmyadmin on this server, when you goto "database", it shows "Database", and theres a useless button, and nothing else.

On this server set up, you use cPanel --> MySQL Databases to create your database and database users and to assign db users to dbs.
