having trouble using softaculous installer

I have used the software softaculous to install wordpress but when i go to the link given to me by the software i get a 404 error and im not sure what the problem is. Here the link to the site http://tctproduction.pcriot.com/wp/ i appreciate if someone could help me fix this problem.

Your .htaccess in the root directory for tctproduction.pcriot.com (the public_html directory) is currently attempting to rewrite urls I believe. The problem is it's trying to rewrite them to an index.php in public_html, and there isn't one, so it 404's.

Try renaming the .htaccess to .htaccess.bak and see if the error persists after clearing the browsers cache.

i cant seem to find the .htaccess file i think it might be because i dont understand how to do this very well if you can provide me with instruction on where to locate the file ill appreciate it. Thanks for replying fast.

I found it i had to use a ftp client to find the files, will post update to let you know if it worked.

If you use cPanel's file manager, when you click it, check the box at the bottom for "Show hidden dotfiles" or the .htaccess wont' show up
