Starka Status and suspensions

Hi,

My old thread was closed so apologies for this mini thread. Was advised to check the status here (Using preview mode I can see I've messed up the url, but now in this editing box it just shows as a hyper link, how do I fix that?), which I've done, however, I'm not actually sure what any of it means.

It says

(In Progress) Starka5 hours ago Working on a SAN issue with Starka’s LUN causing it to switch to read-only mode. Will update shortly.
We are running a file system check on the server, updates will follow.
A second pass is being performed now.
Unfortunately it is doing a third pass. @ 6:10AM EDT

Now, I would like to state I'm not complaining, the support here is excellent and grateful for the hosting I get for free! However, I'm unsure what this actually means or how long it normally takes. I don't mind if it takes days or weeks, it's free, I'm grateful, just curious.

Also, I had a email warning of suspension. Am I right in thinking now you get a warning of a suspension before your account actually gets suspended, and then you get another email telling you you've been suspended? If that's right, I think that's why I was a little confused with what was going on with my account.

It shouldn't take much longer but it's been dragging on because of the extra passes it's requiring. Your site should be fine as far as suspensions go. Was the email reminding you to log into the forums once every 30 days?

Hi,

The title of the email was: x10Hosting Account Inactivity Suspension Warning.

I guess that was "A warning your account could be suspended" rather than "Warning, you account is suspended" if you see what I mean. The joys of misinterpretation. My account was inactive for 33 days, which is more than any calendar month which is why I assumed it was suspended.

Correct it is a reminder that there could be a suspension placed unless you do login to our forums.
If it had been suspended it would have said something like "Oh no, your account has been suspended", I don't recall the exact wording though.

I do not question what the email you received said, just tried to inform what it would actually say if there was indeed a suspension placed on the account.
