Exclamation How to display directory listing of different folder in public_html?

Hi, Just having a small issue, have looked around the forum and could not find an answer. So lets say I have the domain: example.pcriot.com and I've set up the website and made sure that an index.html file is in the directory. Now I know the public_html folder is the one where all the files that are going to be accessed externally are to be stored. Lets say I have a directory called "OtherFiles" in public_html folder, then put a couple of text files in there. When i go to my browser i.e. example.pcriot.com/OtherFiles I dont get anything but a blank page. I've made sure that the folder is set to display the listing *option above no indexing is checked*. I also have made sure the folder and file permissions are correct. But yet I'm getting a blank page when I'm trying to access the folder through web-browser and have no index of files in that folder.

The new server software, Litespeed, does not have the Indexing option. The default has been set to a blank page.

What you can do is create an index.php page that will programmically do it for you and then place it in the directory. But , as with the Apache Indexing feature, it can be a security hole if you do it improperly.
    Nothing is always absolutely so.

Thanks for getting back to me, I was going to originally post on whether you can help me set up a image.php if its a simple process.

But there has been some sort of development since yesterday, after getting all the dreaded DEADBEEF error I wasn't able to login. However I'm now seeing

    Index of /

on a directory, previously a blank page was listed, does this mean that the software has been updated yesterday? If this is so, then no files are showing in the directory, getting the error:

[ERROR] Can not open directory for URI: /example/!
I know you have said that its not possible on the LiteSpeed WebServer console being used on the starka servers, but I've not seen the "Index Of" until yesterday after making this thread..
