Hi, im new to this whole hosting stuff and incredibly lost! how could i host a site using sharepoint designer? is there a certain process i need to follow?

Hello,

Sharepoint server is a Windows Server-only thing, meaning you would more than likely not be able to use it to design your website, as our servers all run linux.

To host pages, upload them with a .html (for HTML files), or .php (for PHP files) extension to your public_html folder. Then you will be able to access them from your website URL.
