About LinkBacksHello, I had my hosting account removed due to inactivity as far as I know.
I would not like it restored if possible. I would just like a copy of my files in the form of a backup, just to check my data is up to date.

If you had your account deleted due to inactivity (and there is no account linked to this Forum name), then there are no backups.
You can sign up for a new Free Hosting account.
Nothing is always absolutely so.

OK, no problem.
So I know in future, how long does an account need to be inactive for, for it to be deleted?

If you do not login to the forums for 31 days, the account would end up suspended due to inactivity (requirement is to login here at the forums at least once every 31 days to keep the account active).
14 days after the suspension was placed the account would be up for being terminated at the next run of the script that terminates inactive accounts. It is never shorted then 14 days, but can be a bit longer sometimes.
