Free host pending for 1 day

yesterday I have sign up a free account and today my account is still pending. Have I done a mistake in the sign-up process or are some other reasons (e.g. maintenance of the server) ?

It can take up to 48 hours for a new hosting account to be created once the email address has been confirmed.
