It's a proxy, then (even if your only proxying HEAD requests and looking for a 200). That would definitely put you afoul of the ToS. It's one thing to have something that verifies the links on your own web pages and alerts you of dead links so you can repair/remove them; it's quite another to proxy your own browser requests through x10's servers -- that's specifically forbidden. (And many of the sites supported by the script you pointed to -- and the one that it is inspired by/based upon -- are dedicated porn/warez hosts, innocent spreadsheets need not apply.)
