Cannot use WordPress

I manually setup wordpress but whenever I try to adjust settings in it or use other features it gives me 404 errors.

What is going on??

I also tried installing it via Softaculous but I get the following message for everything:

"The INFO.XML file could not be found! Please report this to the server administrator."

Please don't tell me I have to switch webhost to use Wordpress but if it has to be done I will I guess. :/
