    issue with creating hosting account

    Hello,

After having multiple issues with zymic I convinced my co-worker to switch her wordpress site over to x10hosting as I have always had a good experience with x10. I have however ran into some unexpected issues with getting the hosting account created, issues that were not x10's fault which I need help with.

I set up the account with her email and her info and things were going well. She verified the email on her phone and the account was created successfully. When I tried setting up the hosting account it said she needed to enter a confirmation code and at this point she was getting ready to leave work for the day and was in a hurry. I asked if she had received a confirmation code and she had not. I waited for 4 hours and decided to change the hosting email to one I had access to just to get the hosting service started then switch it back and that's when the issues started.

I initially changed the email to my work email then to my yahoo email before I left for the night so I could check from home. As of today neither of us had received an email so after checking her phone email I went through the validation link once again and sure enough it auto fills the confirmation code from that link only, and since I had changed emails and resent confirmation emails the code doesn't work.

I believe part of this issue is that under hosting options it says pending email confirmation and it has my yahoo email listed in gray with the resend confirmation box to the right and at the bottom under update email it correctly shows her gmail email. I've tried updating it back to her gmail since we are both at work now however it still shows my yahoo up top and worse yet neither of us have received any additional emails so we're stuck with the one confirmation email that is no longer valid.

    Any help is appreciated.

Re: issue with creating hosting account

I do see a gmail address listed for your client/forum account (ie the account you are posting from).

Unfortunately I do not see a pending hosting action, it may have been dropped due to the failed email verification, if that is indeed the case you would need to re-do the hosting account part while being logged into the account panel to get them properly linked with each others.

Assuming that you are posting from the client/forum account this concerns, I can manually confirm the email address for you if you send an email FROM that address to me, and please include a link to this forum thread so I know which account it relates to.

    My email is: anna@x10hosting.com

Thanks for your help, email sent with link to thread as requested. Will I need to click on resend notification once you've fixed things on the back end?

Thanks for your help, email sent with link to thread as requested. Will I need to click on resend notification once you've fixed things on the back end as it still has the yahoo listed for when I click on resend notification instead of the gmail and I'm unable to update it back to the gmail.

(Sorry if this double posts, I'm using IE7 and it was having issues editing my reply)

You do not need to click to resend notification as I manually set it as confirmed, since you did confirm it to be a working email address by sending from it.

However, you would wanna log into the account panel and check if there still is a pending action for an actual hosting account, if there is not you would need to click create a hosting account from inside the account panel and fill out domain and username once more, password will be the same as account panel already have.
