When I click on ocPortal link in my cPanel to go to the more info page so that I can install it, I get the following error:
The INFO.XML file could not be found! Please report this to the server administrator.
Also on the Contaso, Drupal 6, Joomla 1.7, omg. Ok, there is more, but I'm not going through them all, I think you get the drift.

Hi, I suggest installing scripts manually. This is an error that is not at the top of the list to be fixed right now.

So, you're telling me that even though at least 50% of the scripts aren't working it's not at the top of the list to be fixed right now? Where abouts on the list is it?
What's at the top I wonder?
If more than half the scripts aren't working, and it's not a major issue, I can only wonder what the worse problems are.
Was it worth me signing up? Hmmm.

I signed up to this site in hopes of finding a good host, and if so I would happily pay for an account. However I must say that I am not impressed so far.

I don't mean to come off as an a$$, but seeing as how I only wanted to install and un-install some of the scripts to see which ones I prefer before settling on one, for me to go hunt down the providers websites, download, then upload, then install, just seems like a waste of my time.

Right now there's a bigger list of stuff that's a bit more high-priority to fix - we're looking at a new ticket system besides a deep-cleaning on the servers to make sure they actually stay stable for an extended period of time. I can understand the frustration, but compared to the possibility of the server not being online, I can also see why it's not on the top of the list. It is a known issue though, and it is on the list of things needing a fix.

One of the major reasons softaculous is not very high on the list, aside from what Livewire stated, is that everything on softaculous can be manually downloaded, uploaded o your account, then installed without any need for softaculous' system - It doesn't prevent you from doing anything, it just adds a few extra steps. Personally, I prefer and recommend doing installations manually as there are some additional options you can adjust that softaculous may not let you change, such as a database table prefix.
