Server time zone ?

Why are x10hosting servers - that are in Chicago - set for (EST) New York time zone ???

If you need to use time functions, set your own timezone using the date_default_timezone_set( string $timezone_identifier ) php function

and what dose that have to do with my above "why" ???

It's that I do not know why the timezones are set for New York, but if you needed to use date/time functions, you could use that to reset the timezone.
