can't log in, and site isn't displaying correctly and mostly doesn't work.

i'm having issues. i can't log into my hosting account. i get a message that says
"It appears that we are having some slight difficulties, please wait and try your request again. (DEADBEEF)"
so i can't say what server i'm using because i can't get in to get the name.
my forum site http://shuken-sha.x10.mx/ is hardly working and not displaying correctly.

i'm about ready to look for another host for my forum. because this isn't the first time my forums have ether gone down. or lost all data

There's an ongoing unplanned network issue at the datacenter; it's being worked on, but it's out of our hands. The actual servers themselves should be fine, they're just inaccessible cause the network went down.

how long exactly do you expect it to take for everything to come back up?
just a rough estimate is good. that way i have something to tell the members of my forum through other means. so that i don't get yelled at "why is the site down"

Sadly the DC didn't give us one; after looking into the ticket we have on it, it looks like it was a scheduled 15 minute upgrade that went sideways. The last update we have is that progress is being made but there's not an ETA yet; that to me says it's something that wasn't part of the upgrade itself.

well. thankfully this whole thing is happening now. could you imagine what'd happen if this went down in the middle of the day when a lot more people are on? at least in the usa?

Worst part is I remember that happening in the past, was NOT a good day for x10 XD

Although that was with a different datacenter.


Also, last ticket update came in not long ago, some services are starting to come back up but it's not 100% there yet, so they're still poking around

i believe Starka is the server my account uses. if i could log in i could tell you.

let's just be glad this wasn't like what happened to the ps3 network earlier this year.
that probably wouldn't be too good for x10... how many sites are hosted here? at least 400k right?

No idea on site count, but at least on free there's no credit card details And yeah, the network's not 100% stable yet so I expect a few problems, and you are indeed on starka (I can still trace a url, it just doesn't load if you try to view it)

the post time of the server status is 5 hours ahead of where i live. which is the central region of the usa.

well. i guess this can be closed now. since the system will be back in time.

I'll close it, but as a side note the servers are actually in central USA. I believe the status system uses GMT for everything though.
