No E-mail and large file in directory

Hi could someone tell me why i cant send and receive any e-mails from my account? also in my account it says i have used most of my space up. It says i have used 814mb of 1gb. I know my website only uses about 60mb in total so where is all the space going? so far in the few days i have been using this new server it has been plagued with problems much more than i have encountered with other web hosting sites. I have three sites that i use and they all have suffered the same problem.

Or the disk quotas haven't updated properly. Given that I've actually checked the server and confirmed the account is using about 70mb (I didn't have it get me an exact number), my guess is cPanel's just not showing an accurate disk usage statistic at the moment.

Other than that, the problem shouldn't affect the system negatively beyond that - when the system goes to recalculate the disk quotas, it'll fix itself.

Edit: I should also note that I highly doubt the system uses FAT anymore; FAT's been out of date since XP and if I'm to trust wikipedia is mostly used on removable HDD's, not like the ones we utilize.

cPanel Displaying Wrong Disk Space Usage

    Hi
I have checked today to see if my disk space usage in cPanel had gone down as it is still displaying 814.5mb. Is there some sort of maintenance script that can be run at your end to rectify the problem?

    Many Thanks
