Hi i am connecting to mysql database hosted on x10 hosting. with my db username and password and i have also configured remote mysql in cpanel for this purpose but i am getting error i am using server shared ip address as server name. The point to note is i connected many times earlier in this way but for 3 days its giving error.

If you were able to connect, then it was a glitch - remote mysql is not supported on free hosting. Apologies if it did work, but it's never been intentionally enabled.
