    Ftp Timeout problem

Hey people I am having a remote server timeout problem when uploading with ftp.
I tried wiwth smartftp and cuteftp. I can't even upload a 4 kb file. I can you expect to put up asite when i can upload anything.

There is also another problem. The 'Mambo', 'PHPMywebsite' and 'phpWCMS' in fantastico do not work. Al three of then shows a 500 internal server error problem and also a 404 page not found.

Please people looking into the problem, atleast the ftp problem. Its quite frustrating :chris: . No offence :original:

It times out cause it uploads to much file at a time or maybe your connection is slow.

Are you sure its not a firewall or a router that has issues with ports cause routers mostly the things that cause problems.

WEl b 4, i had ftp timeout with another host and I was using Flashfxp, and now i'm at x10hosting and still uses Flashfxp and I have no timeout. I have a 256kb internet with router and firewall and it works great. Try Flashfxp and tell me if it works.

Zip it, upload it through CPanel, and unzip it
