    Parked domain problem

    Hi folks,

I'm trying to add a parked domain to my account, but everytime I try it, cPanel gives me this error:

"Error from park wrapper: Sorry, cannot determine nameserver IPs. Please make sure that the domain is registered with a valid domain registrar."

I already asked my domainhost if they could do something to solve my problem, but they responded that I have to ask you for help.

I need to add the this domain, because otherwise my domainhost can't activate my domain name..

Domain name i want to add: thirstywork.nl
    cPanel account name: thirstyw

    Thanks in advance,

    Forgian

What name servers have you put into the domain setup. From memory they should be:
    ns1.x10hosting.com
    ns2.x10hosting.com

    Are they set correctly?

It can then take up too depending on the Domain hoster up to 24 hours to update the settings.

Have you had this as your default domain before, or as an add-on domain? If so, there's probably still a DNS record set.

I think it's a problem with your domain provider.

I was chechking the WHOIS, and look:
    http://www.whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=thirstywork&tld=nl

    It doesn't show any information..

It should give some information like this one:
    http://www.whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=x10hosting&tld=com

    Re: Parked domain problem

then again, my host provider says this:

    http://www.sidn.nl/ace.php/c,727,778...submit=Verzend

    Errors=1, Warnings=0, Informational=0

    ** Summary: REJECTED thirstywork.nl.

Some problems need to be fixed:
    - Some of your name servers cannot be used (are broken).

    ** More information:
TE refers to SIDN document "Technische Eisen" (in dutch)
    http://www.sidn.nl/doc/te.pdf
RFC1035 RFC "Domain Names - Implementation and Specifications"
    http://rfc.net/rfc1035.html
RFC1123 RFC "Requirements for Internet Hosts"
    http://rfc.net/rfc1123.html
RFC1912 Common DNS Operational and Configuration Errors
    http://rfc.net/rfc1912.html
RIPE203 Recommendations for DNS SOA Values
    http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-203.html

    ** Full check report:

    * primary name server "ns1.x10hosting.com." [BROKEN]
Broken: the name server does not know of domain "thirstywork.nl."
No SOA record was found for the requested domain, because the
addressed server does not have the domain configured and does not
    relay the request either.

    * secondary name server "ns2.x10hosting.com."
Info: name server looks correctly configured.

    what should i do?

    Re: Parked domain problem

Now that is a catch-22. The server won't let you setup the domain because it's not pointed to the name servers correctly, your registrar won't let you point it to the server because it's not setup on the server... Try adding it again.
