Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted

So I am having this error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /home/normiman/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/lib/pclzip.lib.php on line 3710

I have searched in the forum and I have found the solution. But I can't fixed. So I hope an admin reads this and helps me out! The memory limit in the php.ini file has to be adjusted for my blog to work again. Please fix it as soon as possible.

    Thanks a lot!

Norman what type of plugin are you trying to use.
I'm using Wordpress too, and i have lots plugins to it.

Seems that instalation of Wordpress and plugins are working perfect to me.
I had few times this problem with memory limit but it was from the scripts i used not from server.
In case that you have the latest 2.3 version it can be difference betwen your wordpress and mine, because 2.3 version seems to have some other few bugs in it.(it's still in construction, prepearing for a latest stable release).

If it's from server(do not read this post) because it won't help (i just sayed my oppinion).

Actually, the blog was working fine, until the php change. I tried to load my blog but I just got a blank screen so I decided to install 2.3, and it was then, when the error appeared.

    @english
As far as I know, we don't have access to the php.ini, so I guess the admin could change it.

Please read the news section on how to upgrade your PHP. You should be requesting to upgrade to version2.

As this thread is about Wordpress problems... i ask users that use Wordpress 2.3 to read this:

    http://www.ghacks.net/2007/09/25/don...dpress-23-yet/

I think is a useful article about Wordpress 2.3

    Enjoy !

We're also raising the memory limit on intermediate a bit to accommodate more scripts.

I'm going to close this, please re-open if further assistance is needed.
