i dont get how i can use subdomains to make things like

    www.mywebsitename.x10hosting.com/subdomain name

im having trouble setting that up

p.s. do i put a file named "index" in every folder i want a webpage for?
(ex. i make a subdomain named example and put "index" in the example folder in the file manager)

    Re: using subdomains

Subdomains are fairly easy. Say i have a site named www.chris73.x10hosting.com.

I want to add a subdomain named Vacation. i would creat the subdomain in the first box "vacation"
click in the second box.. that should automatically add this path public_html/vactions

Go back to filemanager and now if you look in your public_html folder you will see your new subdomain. In this case it's "vacation".

Click on vacations and create a file called index.html. Just so you have an index until you make the site. Should now look like this www.chris73.x10hosting.com/vactions

    I hope that helps

    Re: using subdomains

    need to create a redirect.

click on subdomains. You will see your subdomain there. and you will notice to the right of it has"manage redirection"

that will take you to a place that has http:// in a box.

type in your normal domain.. in my case it's http://www.chris73.x10hosting.com/vactions click save.

    and there ya go.
