    Error installing Joomla 1.5RC2

    Account information:

    Account Username: pebble

    Primary Domain: http://pebbleworm.exofire.net

    Hosting Type: Ad-Enhanced

    Issues/Errors:

I tried installing Joomla 1.5RC2 to directory /public_html/gopinay.com. I uploaded the Joomla .tar to the said directory and unpacked it. When I tried to install Joomla, I get the following error:

Fatal error: SUHOSIN - Use of eval is forbidden by configuration in /home/pebble/public_html/gopinay.com/libraries/joomla/utilities/simplexml.php(336) : eval()'d code on line 336
    Here's the link.

I tried deleting and re-uploading the .tar files (even downloaded a new one from Joomla to make sure) 3 times already but I still get the same error.

I hope I provided the necessary information. Is Joomla 1.5RC2 supported by x10hosting? Thank you for your help.

Go to your account panel and apply for the intermediate PHP version. That should clear that error up ;)

Did that. Thank you both for the quick replies. I'm trying to beat the deadline for putting up that ads banner. :D

Sorry if my questions seem elementary, but...
did you first create a database for joomla?

the joomla release candidates are not as stable as the older ones.

I have run joomla under older versions of PHP and never have problems!

    Yes :D

PHP version upgraded to intermediate, Joomla 1.5RC installed, mod_html installed, and corporate ads code copied. Thanks.

Yes, thanks. Except for the ads. I followed the instructions here and took the code here. I initially published mod_html on the left module position and intentionally turned on the module name so I can see if it's working. Only a blank space is showing up as of this moment (I published the ads 12 hrs ago).

    Please see here... www.gopinay.com

Do I need to create a separate thread for this issue?

    Thanks.
