    Cache Problem?

Hi, i don't think it's my computer problem as i have tried emptying the cache but every time i make changes to my site, it take a few hours to change... Is this supposed to be happening as today i uploaded some images over another image and it still hasn't taken effect. Why do you think this is happening?
    Edit:
Do you think i could get an answer soon as this problem is starting to get annoying now...

hmmmm, it really seems as a cache problem.
    What browser are you using?

Try going to the IMAGE url (ex: http://dom.com/image.jpg) and refreshing (F5).

Is it a website you have build or phpBB? If it is phpBB, delete all files but not .htaccess and index.html in the cache folder on the server.

    Re: Cache Problem?

If it is a CMS or Forum then it will have it's own cache (either database or file), there should be a way of clearing or cleaning it in the Admin Panel.

If you made the site yourself, then you could try pressing 'Ctrl + F5' to clear your browsers cache.

    Re: Cache Problem?

It's not my browser and i made sure of that.
fedlerner i tried refreshing that image but it could not be found.
The problem happens when i upload sohailtech.com/index.swf,
and when i uploaded some images on my forums and CMS.

Where is this cache folder on the server as i cannot find it anywhere?
    Edit:
This is annoying because every time i make a small change to anything, i have to wait hours for the changes to take effect. I'm quite sure there's no cache of index.swf on the server...

    Re: Cache Problem?

If your using Firefox try pressing 'Ctrl + F5' while viewing index.swf that will make sure the cache is cleared.

    Re: Cache Problem?

    Hello,

If you have made the site/design yourself, and have not integrated a cache feature, then there isn't one. The server dosn't cache anything, but if you have a forum\CMS installed that caches information, then try clearing that cache. You could also try another browser.

I am going to close this, as I think we have solved it. If this is not true, feel free to re-open this.

    Thanks,
    Thanks,
    Brandon Long
