    ftp issues

I am having issues setting up my ftp account and using the account on filezilla.

i followed all the instructions on setting it up and when i tried to use the ftp account on filezilla it said:

    connection established...waiting for welcome message

    then...

    connection failed.

    what am i doing wrong?

    Re: ftp issues

What information are you using to connect to FTP?
    You should use:
    -Port: 21
    -Hostname: parentpartner.org
-Username & Password: The same you use to login to cPanel

Make sure the option for "Multiple connections" is disabled on FileZilla settings.

    Re: ftp issues

No, for FTP & cPanel you should use your HOSTING username and password.
For your AMP (http://x10hosting.com/account) you should use your forum username and password.
Your hosting username is: ppdotorg, and the password you should know it.

    Re: ftp issues

You need to set the nameservers on the domain to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com
Within 2-24 hours it will start working then.

    Re: ftp issues

Login at admin.1and1.com, click Domains under Basic Settings, then check the domain you want to edit, click the drop down arrow next to DNS in the menu bar, click Edit DNS Settings, under Basic DNS Settings change it to My Name Server and type ns1.x10hosting.com in for Primary name server and ns2.x10hosting.com for 1st secondary name server
