Selling my own music

If I have a free account... I already know I cannot upload copyrighted material, but I suppose I can upload my own MP3s. Can't I? And if I do, say I have a band and make a website for it... can I put a PayPal button so that they can buy our work?
I've been reading a lot online trying to figure out up to which point selling can and cannot be done, but it's hard to find clear information. I don't want to do anything wrong. I'll appreciate an answer on this. Thanks in advance
