imageboard problems

hi, i want to run an imageboard for my school on your server using kareha

it uses Perl scripts wich only seem to run in /cgi-bin

but the scripts generate html pages in the folder they'r in, so in /cgi-bin

the problem is that you can't seem to acces html pages in /cgi-bin with a browser

can someone help me?

For security perl\cgi scripts are limited to run in the cgi-bin folder. You'd have to edit the scripts to output the HTML files into your public_html folder.

I did think you could view HTML pages that were in the CGI-BIN folder. Do you have a link to one? I may be wrong though.

i'm not that of an expert to be able to edit those scrips, i think...
there were just downloaded

I did some checking on it, it is trying to execute the file and since it's missing a shebang at the top it's erroring.

I think the only way would be to move the file outside cgi-bin or edit your script... You can try getting support from the script creator to see if they have any ideas on it.
