Cannot get php script to work

I have attempted to get the following script working:

PHP easy downloader v2.5 (http://www.ironclad.net/scripts/)

However, when I try to load it (which should be a simple case of upload via ftp, navigate to its index page, and bam, it works), I get the following error:

Warning: set_time_limit() has been disabled for security reasons on line 433

Now, deleting the line breaks the script, altering the value does nothing. If this requires me to modify the security settings for my site, I would like to request a reduction of the security settings for php scripts on the following site:

www.sims2downloads.x10hosting.com

How long ago did you upgrade to intermediate PHP?

I put in a request a few hours ago, but if that would fix it, then that's fine. I'm just trying to find out if there is an alternative if that doesn't work.

You'll need to wait up to 48-72 hours for this to complete, It's usually done in less than 24 hours though.
