Disk Space is not correct

Ever since I have had my hosting account I have had almost all of my disk space used. I very highly doubt that 298 MB is used by a PHP script and some images. Could a member of staff please check this out for me and do something about this because it really annoys me and limits the amount I can upload to the server.
